Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.. The activities of the Abu Tammam Festival were launched at the Cultural Center in Daraa. From the Deputy Minister of Culture, Mr. Saad Naasan, and the Deputy Governor of Daraa, Mr. Muhannad Al-Jahmani, where the speeches addressed the importance of drawing inspiration from Abu Tammam’s poetic experience and the literary and intellectual value it represents, in addition to a literary lecture presented by Dr. Adham Sharqawi, and various artistic and youth participations.
The festival program included a poetry evening with the participation of an elite group of Syrian and Arab poets, amid a remarkable cultural and public presence, to be continued. The events until tomorrow include a range of diverse literary and cultural activities.
