The launch of the Syrian Forum for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation at the National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus
In the presence of the Minister of Culture, Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh, the activities of the Syrian Forum for the Art of Arabic Calligraphy and Ornamentation were launched today at the National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus, with the participation of more than 100 calligraphers and artists, and the presentation of more than 130 artistic paintings.
It is presented The forum is a diverse artistic and cultural program, which includes an exhibition of participating works, in addition to lectures and workshops dealing with the history of Arabic calligraphy, its schools and methods, and the arts of decoration and gilding and their techniques, allowing visitors to learn about the artists’ experiences and the diversity of their styles. The forum will receive visitors starting tomorrow, and will continue until August 15 of this month.
