The Minister of Culture discusses with his Jordanian counterpart strengthening cultural cooperation and reviews Jordanian cultural institutions

The Minister of Culture, Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh, met with his Jordanian counterpart, Mustafa Nasr Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, at the headquarters of the Jordanian Ministry of Culture in the capital, Amman, where the two sides discussed ways to enhance cultural cooperation, expand areas of cultural and artistic exchange, and activate joint programs.

After the meeting, Minister Al-Saleh made a visit to the Royal Cultural Center, and viewed the center’s facilities. And the cultural, artistic and theatrical events that it hosts, in addition to its role in embracing creative and cultural activities at the national and Arab levels.

The minister’s visit also included the Department of the National Library of Jordan, where he listened to an explanation about the mechanisms for preserving national documents, manuscripts and historical archives, and the department’s efforts to document the national memory, digitize its contents, and preserve the cultural heritage for future generations.

During his tour of the Museum of Parliamentary Life, Minister Al-Saleh was briefed on the museum’s holdings. And his historical documents that document the process of parliamentary life in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, listening to an explanation about the stages of development of parliamentary work and the importance of the museum in preserving this national heritage and introducing the history of the Jordanian parliamentary experience.

Minister Al-Saleh’s visit to Jordan comes within a cultural program aimed at enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences between cultural institutions in the two brotherly countries.
