Launch of the Dates and Traditional Heritage Festival in Palmyra
In the presence of the Minister of Culture, Mohammed Yassin Al-Saleh, and several official figures, the Dates and Traditional Heritage Festival has commenced in Palmyra, celebrating the oasis’s dates and its rich agricultural and cultural heritage.
The festival provides an opportunity to celebrate the local varieties of Palmyra dates and preserve the popular traditions and collective memories associated with them, reflecting their deep connection to the oasis’s history. It also aims to raise awareness of the importance of preserving and sustaining natural and cultural heritage.
