In loyalty to his linguistic and cultural legacy... the scholar Mazen Al-Mubarak was honored at the Syrian National Library

His Excellency the Minister of Culture, Mr. Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh, honored the late scholar, Dr. Mazen Al-Mubarak, during a ceremony held at the Syrian National Library in Damascus, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the service of the Arabic language, culture, and thought.

The Minister Al-Saleh handed over the shield of honor to the son of the late, Dr. Zaher Al-Mubarak, in the presence of an elite group of Writers, linguists, academics, and those interested in cultural affairs.

In his speech, Minister Al-Saleh stressed that honoring Dr. Mazen Al-Mubarak is a tribute to a scholarly and cultural stature who devoted her life to serving the Arabic language and knowledge, pointing out that the late man combined the depth of knowledge and the elevation of character, and left a lasting impact on the Syrian and Arab cultural scene, and his legacy will remain present in the memory of Damascus and in the conscience of generations of researchers. The ceremony included an intellectual symposium presented by Professor Dr. Muhammad Hassan Al-Tabban and Dr. Ayman Al-Sawa, during which they reviewed stages of the scientific and cultural career of Dr. Mazen Al-Mubarak, and highlighted his most prominent contributions in serving the Arabic language, thought and culture. It also addressed a number of intellectual and cultural issues, and provided the attendees with a space for dialogue and exchange of opinions on the topics at hand.
