Minister of Culture Mohammad Yassin Al-Saleh conducted a field visit to Arwad Island in Tartous Governorate, which included a visit to Arwad Castle and several cultural and archaeological sites. During the tour, he met with a number of boat builders, emphasizing the importance of this craft and its integral role in cultural identity. He affirmed that the Ministry is working to preserve Syrian crafts and ensure their continuity. The tour focused on assessing the current state of cultural activities on the island and exploring ways to enhance and develop them, thereby strengthening Arwad's tourism appeal and reflecting its historical significance.
