Symposium for the Ministry of Culture at the Istanbul International Arab Book Fair
As part of the Ministry of Culture’s participation in the activities of the Istanbul International Arab Book Fair, a symposium was held entitled “The Role of Cultural Institutions in Creating National Identity,” presented by Deputy Minister of Culture Saad Naasan, Director of the National Library Saeed Hijazi, and Director of Exhibitions at the National Book Authority Murhaf Abdel Jawad.
It discussed The symposium is about the importance of cultural institutions in building national awareness, preserving cultural memory, enhancing the presence of Syrian books and culture, and their role in consolidating national identity and openness to the Arab and international cultural environment.
