As part of his ongoing field visits to assess the cultural landscape in the provinces, Minister of Culture Mohammed Yassin Al-Saleh visited Latakia Governorate, where he met with Governor Mohammed Othman. The two discussed the current state of the cultural sector in the governorate and ways to develop it. The visit included several stops, such as the Directorate of Culture, the Department of Antiquities and Museums, the Ugarit archaeological site, the Arch of Triumph, and the Al-Maqbi Market. During these visits, he reviewed the current state of the cultural sector and its needs, emphasizing the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the cultural presence in the governorate.
