





President Ahmed al-Sharaa met today with Minister of Culture Mohammed al-Saleh and Deputy Minister Saad Naasan, along with a group of prominent Arab poets, writers, and intellectuals participating in the Damascus International Book Fair. During the meeting, they discussed the role of culture in strengthening Arab ties, the importance of books in fostering knowledge and openness, and the current state of the literary scene in the region and its prospects for development. The President listened to the Arab guests' impressions of their participation and the fair's role as a platform for creative individuals from various countries to connect. He commended the efforts made in organizing the fair and the success of this year's event. The Minister of Culture also presented a brief overview of the fair's activities and intellectual programs, emphasizing the commitment to making this edition a genuine platform for cultural dialogue and the exchange of expertise. He noted the broad participation of publishing houses and writers from both inside and outside Syria.
