The book “Al-Hamsa” by the Arab poet Abu Tammam constitutes one of the most prominent literary achievements in the Arab heritage, as it preserved an important aspect of ancient Arabic poetry, remaining a witness to its genius, solidity, and the depth of its presence rooted in Arab culture for more than a thousand years.
Based on the ancient cultural legacy of Abu Tammam and in remembrance of his career extending over time, the Ministry of Culture launches the “Abu Tammam Poetry Festival” daily. June 28 and 29 at the Cultural Center in the city of Daraa in Houran, Mahd Abi Tammam, at 4:30 p.m.
