The Minister of Culture discusses with the delegation of the European Union mission the strengthening of cultural cooperation

The Minister of Culture Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh received a delegation from the European Union mission to Syria, headed by the Chargé d’Affaires Michael Unmacht, and in the presence of a number of directors of the ministry’s central departments. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cultural cooperation in the fields of heritage and arts and develop training programs.

The Minister also welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of enabling partnership, cooperation and openness to initiatives that support The cultural movement in Syria, especially in the areas of rehabilitating heritage sites, revitalizing artistic, musical and theatrical activities, and developing training programmes.

For his part, Ambassador Unmacht expressed his happiness with the visit, noting the mission’s interest in expanding cultural cooperation programmes, supporting archaeological site restoration projects, organizing joint cultural events, in addition to launching cultural initiatives that contribute to enhancing cultural exchange.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination. And cooperation, which contributes to enhancing joint cultural work.
