
In the context of developing regional cultural relations, Minister of Culture, Professor Mohammed Yassin Al-Saleh, discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of the Turkish Embassy in Syria, Burhan Koroglu, and his accompanying delegation prospects for enhancing joint cooperation in the cultural sector.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of the Turkish Cultural Center, Mr. Cengiz Eraoglu; the General Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Mr. Bilal Ozdan; and Dr. Mahmoud Zein El Abidine, a faculty member at Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the richness and diversity of Syrian civilization and the role of culture in consolidating community security and promoting peace and stability.
The two sides also discussed several topics, most notably: the restoration of archaeological sites, the preservation of manuscripts, the exchange of expertise and specialized training, as well as the organization of scientific seminars and joint cultural events that highlight our shared cultural heritage and emphasize the role of culture in strengthening communication between the two countries.
