The Ministry of Culture’s pavilion at the Damascus International Fair...a broad cultural presence that tells the story of Syria

The Ministry of Culture’s pavilion recorded a remarkable presence within the activities of the sixty-third session of the Damascus International Fair, which was held under the auspices of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic in the Exhibition City in Damascus, from August 26 to September 4. 2026.
The Ministry of Culture’s pavilion presented a broad cultural, artistic, and cognitive program that combined heritage, creativity, arts, literature, music, and direct interaction with the public. It reflected the diversity of the Syrian cultural scene, and turned participation in the exhibition into an open space for communication with the Syrian public and Arab and foreign guests.
90 events... and a cultural program Integrated
Throughout the days of the exhibition, the Ministry of Culture presented about 90 events, organized and implemented by approximately 300 people, distributed between the public theatre, the children’s theatre, and the evening and lecture hall, in addition to the podcast corner, which allowed for a great diversity of contents and target groups.
The program included artistic, musical and theatrical activities, and poetry evenings. And literary, lectures and educational meetings, in addition to interactive activities for children and young people, making the pavilion a lively cultural space whose activities are renewed throughout the days of the exhibition. As for the public theater, it witnessed various artistic, heritage and singing performances, amid a wide public presence. And interactive activities directed to children, in addition to launching a podcast corner dedicated to children as part of the ministry’s participation, in a step that keeps pace with modern forms of cultural content, and gives children a space for expression, participation and content creation.
Syrian heritage.. from memory to scene
The ministry’s presence was not limited to events, but rather the pavilion presented an integrated picture of the richness of the tangible and intangible #Syrian_heritage, through models and paintings Documentation, folk costumes, and traditional crafts, in addition to introducing Syrian sites and archaeological monuments, highlighting the cultural and civilizational diversity that characterizes the various Syrian governorates. And participation... 120 thousand visitors
It is worth noting that the Ministry’s pavilion at the #Damascus_International_Fair this year recorded a total attendance of visitors exceeding 120 thousand visitors during the days of the exhibition, in an indicator that reflects the amount of interest received in the cultural, artistic and heritage content presented, and the ability of culture to reach a wide and diverse audience.
With this distinguished participation this year, the Ministry of Culture has consolidated Her attendance at the Damascus International Fair confirmed that culture is one of Syria’s most prominent messages to the world. With its deep-rooted heritage, its renewed arts, and as a cultural scene that accommodates everyone, and presents an image of Syria that is rich in its diversity, creativity, and openness to the future.
