As part of his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Minister of Culture Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh visited the site of the Citadel Mountain in the Jordanian capital, Amman, where he was briefed on the most prominent archaeological and historical monuments that the site contains, most notably the Umayyad Palace, listening to an explanation about its cultural value and the importance it represents in documenting the succession of civilizations on the land. The visit also included the Jordan Museum, where he was received by the Museum’s Director General, Ihab Ammarin, and gave a detailed presentation about the museum’s sections and collections that document the history of Jordan and its successive civilizations, starting from prehistoric times all the way to the modern era.
