The Minister of Culture, Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh, opened the public library in the city of Moadamiyeh Al-Sham, as part of efforts to revive cultural institutions and expand access to knowledge, making it the first public library to be opened in the Damascus countryside after the liberation.

The opening of the library came after the completion of its rehabilitation work by the Moadamiya Al-Sham City Council in cooperation with the Mars organization, to become a cultural and community space that embraces reading, learning, and activities. Cultural.

The library includes a variety of books in the fields of culture, history, science, and literature, in addition to stories and novels. It also contains a number of computers designated for electronic browsing, Internet service, and a children’s wing, which enhances its role as a knowledge and cultural center that contributes to spreading knowledge and consolidating the culture of reading.
