The Minister of Culture opens the “Art has an impact” exhibition at the National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus
The Minister of Culture, Muhammad Yassin Al-Saleh, opened the “Art has an impact” exhibition at the National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus. The exhibition brings together generations of the most important Syrian artists residing in Syria and abroad, and presents various experiences in painting, sculpture, photography, graphics, Arabic calligraphy, and ceramics. It includes more than 200 artworks with the participation of 197 artists.
The exhibition comes within an annual project that celebrates creativity, supports talent, documents the development of the Syrian plastic movement, and enhances its presence in cultural memory. The Ministry works through several paths to advance Syrian visual arts and sponsor artists’ projects and art exhibitions, to advance Syrian visual arts and enhance their presence in society.
